Sharing 30 things Centerline loves about St. Croix

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – March 2020 will mark 30 years of serving St. Croix for Centerline Car Rentals. To celebrate the milestone anniversary, the locally-owned and operated rental car company is giving away a St. Croix experience for two people, including:

The contest is for tourists and locals alike, with 13 ways to enter to win at www.ccrvi.com/30years. The winner will be selected at random on April 1, 2020. Each month, Centerline will also randomly select 10 participants to win a “Keep Left” t-shirt from Trade Winds Apparel.

Also, to commemorate 30 years, each week until the end of March, Centerline will share 30 things they love about St. Croix on the Centerline blog and social media. The friendly people of St. Croix made the top of the list and will kick off the celebration in September.

“From the day I did my first car rental transaction back in 1990, I always loved sharing all that St. Croix has to offer,” says Manuel Gutierrez, owner of Centerline Car Rentals. He would enjoy taking the time to give insider tips to his customers, pulling out a map and directing them to the beer drinking pigs and his favorite snorkeling spots.

“Now I’m looking forward to showcasing some of our team’s favorite things about our island home and giving away an amazing St. Croix experience,” adds Gutierrez.

How it all started

Gutierrez bought two used vehicles back before Hurricane Hugo with the intention to re-sell them. In the process of fixing them up, he had the idea to try his hand at renting them. Unfortunately, he lost one of the cars in Hugo, but that didn’t stop him. Within two years, he was able to invest in 10 new cars. Now Centerline maintains a fleet of several hundred late model vehicles and employs more than 20 team members.
