We’ve had a dry few months and our beautiful island disliking rather brown at the moment. But lots of good sun days here – so we have been working on our tan when not out with our wonderful clients! It’s just starting to get a little warm, and the ocean is warming up too….feels delicious!
The island is busy, busy! There are still many contractors here working on everything – from the airport (many hangars were damaged), to the schools (8 schools were condemned), to the roads (SO many potholes!), and of course the power lines. That, coupled with high season, has made our little island BOOM! Restaurants are busy, rentals are scarce, and love affairs with the island are blossoming! These workers and visitors to our island have been impressed with the people and of course with the beauty of this place. It’s always so nice to see our island through the eyes of people who are here for the first time! Those of us who get to live here feel pretty lucky indeed. In spite of the hurricanes, most of us who live here will stay and continue to call this crazy little rock home!
