February is absolutely one of my favorite months here. First of all, Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I have the most romantic partner and every year he comes up with something fun and creative for us to do to celebrate! This year was no exception! The Fred, St Croix’s newest Boutique Hotel, hosted a couple of events that were just over the top. Themed Fifty Shades of Fred, the evening started out with a SIP party – nice wine and decadent nibble pairings with a living Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau on display on the Sky Deck.

This was followed by a foam party in their as yet unfilled pool (which was filled with FOAM!) Mama’s Black Sheep supplied the music and a great time was had by all! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more unique party, and this venue was the absolute bomb of a place to be on Valentine’s night (or any night, for that matter!). So, if you get a chance to Sleep with Fred – by all means take it!!

The other reason I love February in St Croix is because the weather here is absolutely perfect in February. While many of you are shivering and shoveling snow, we are enjoying basking in the warm sun and even taking dips in the sea and in our heated (yes I am super spoiled) pools! Our island is looking very beautiful and the snowbirds are here in force. It’s such a great time to catch up with old friends and make new ones! St Croix is absolutely the place to be in February!!
