Art Thursday: Take a walk through the vibrant Christiansted art community! In addition to the natural beauty that surrounds visitors and locals alike, St. Croix offers a wide variety of art venues to explore. Art Thursday is an event in Christiansted that takes place one Thursday evening of every month from November-May. It involves art galleries, jewelry studios and fine retail stores that all stay open late for a relaxing evening on the town.
The variety of art shown spans from paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic, to jewelry, photography, sculpture, fine carpentry, fabric arts and furniture. Stroll the charming streets of Christiansted and enjoy light refreshments provided by the gallery owners while enjoying the art on display and for sale. Bring home a slice of St. Croix with an original work, a token to remind you of the island. Stop into one of Christiansted’s fine restaurants for an elegant dinner, or enjoy the sunset on the boardwalk at one of the open-air bars and restaurants with gorgeous views of the harbor.
Paint N Sip with Barbara Gelardi: Get your creative juices flowing by joining Barbara Gelardi at her studio for a painting class! Paint n’ Sip events are held every Friday from 5pm-8pm. Class cost is $35 per person, and includes supplies and instruction. Reservations are required; please text Barbara at (340) 514-9038 to claim your easel!
Aliza Rose: Join local artist Aliza Rose for an evening of painting, wine, and good times. You will walk away with your very own beach painting! Please call, send a message or stop by The Courtyard to reserve your space! Due to the small class size prepaid reservations are require and are non-refundable. With Aliza’s guidance, you will create your painting step by step, very simply adding layers until you reach your final product. She will explain how to use your brushes and paints, and give helpful tips and tricks as you go. Two glasses of wine will be included during the painting, and The Courtyard will be open if you would like to enjoy more. It’s all about having fun and enjoying some wine, while unwinding and relaxing into a painting experience.

Kid’s Art Class: Bring your kids to town to let their creativity flow! Barbara Gelardi teaches a fun and engaging Kid’s Art Class every Saturday from 10am – 12:30pm. Class cost is $25 per child, and includes supplies and instruction. Stay and paint with your kids for the parent buddy fee of $20.
