Kelsey Fischer
St. Croix Island Life Realtor®
After graduating from Miami University with a BFA in Graphic Design in 1993, Kelsey moved to Tortola, BVI, and was immediately taken with the Caribbean and island life. She worked as a graphic designer on-island until 1997, then returned home to Ohio, due to family obligations. Her love of the ocean was a known ever since she was a child. Summer vacations were often spent visiting family in Long Island, New York & Los Angeles, California. She had the chance to travel with her family to Hawaii when she was a teenager. It was her first major experience with island life, and it was never forgotten.
Kelsey's former career as a graphic designer and small business owner provided many of the skills necessary for success: an eye for aesthetics, strong listening and negotiating skills, organization, attention to detail, and diligent research. Being fortunate to have the opportunity to be employed internationally in the BVI gave her the chance to conduct meetings with a wide variety of clients, make decisions based on time and budget constraints, and create successful solutions for their needs.
A career change was made in 2010 and she obtained her Real Estate Sales License. After selling for six years, she got a Broker’s License in 2016 and open-d a boutique brokerage. As the Primary Broker, she handled day-to-day business management and oversaw seven agents. She realized she missed the hands-on interaction with clients and chose to transition to an Associate Broker role, where she could once again utilize her strengths and have more client interaction.
While it may sound cliché, Kelsey enjoys and excels at helping real people make well-informed decisions – about some of the most significant transactions of their lives. When buying or selling a home or investment property, the process must be fully understood. It is essential that one is informed, prepared, and confident. Having gone through several of her own real estate transactions, she knows well the weight and gravity of such decisions. She intends for her clients' experience to be as stress-free, fun, and exciting as possible. Making sure her clients understand the intricacies of buying or selling a home in the Caribbean, understanding their needs, and negotiating the best deal is her goal. She uses the latest technologies, market research, and business strategies to exceed your expectations. More importantly, she listens, and that means tailored solutions. She will welcome and appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.
